TO BOLDLY GO...

To Boldly go where no man has gone before...

That is the mission of the starship Enterprise. But it should be the mission of Christians too. The bible says that we will do exploits. Jesus said we would do greater works than he did! Salvation is of faith, but there is more. Once saved, that saith should manifest as good works. The works are to be patience, long suffering, and love to be sure. But we do not have to live in defeat.

The world is drawn to overcomers, those who are victorious. We can not be a whimpering and defeated people and expect to draw the world. There will be seasons for every purpose, as the word says. We will have mourning and hard battles, but the victory is still sure, as promised.

In the last five years I have lost my job, my home, my life savings, and even my wife. But even the life of Job saw a final victory. I have a new career here, no longer a battered contract worker. I have lost 50 lbs and aim to to put it all back on...in the right places. I live in the most beautiful place I have ever found in my 61 years. I have a God who delivers.

My wife passed away after a four month prayer battle to overcome a brain tumor. We did get rewarded with a brief recovery from the coma, so we could tell here how much we love her. We still do, and she is still with us. She passed her entrance exam before I did. I have homework to finish here. I spent ten years writing for a ministry that must be delivered.

From simple hikes, I expect everyone who has faith to reach the stars. While having fun, we can inspire others and discover the electrifying charge of being used by God. James said that faith without works is dead. I believe we must leave our comfort zone to make that faith work.

I have been meeting great men and women of faith as I travel. I find many resources to reveal the joy and power of life in Jesus Christ. I hope to provide some ideas that you can use to build your churches as we share a series of simple healthy outings. This is meant to be a series of coopereative efforts to explore life adventures as based on godly principles. But we can only go as far as you are willing to go. This depends on the unity of fellowship to succeed. Your contribution is essential.

Before Israel engaged the Caananites, several tribes asked to stay on the near side of the Jordan. They volunteered to stay united in battle with their brothers until the whole of Israel was conquered. We all must cross over Jordan, and enter the battle together to overcome the enemy. You have key skills and thoughts we need to win the battles ahead. Please do not sign up unless you want to come to meetings.
